With 12 years of dedicated IT experience Shailendra started his career as a junior sales rep promoting software applications and services. With a keen interest in software development, he began pursuing small software development work and consulting in areas of ERP applications including Baan and MFG/Pro. After coming to the U.S. as a trained Peoplesoft consultant the changing market shifted his expertise to Siebel CRM application development, consulting and implementation. For the last 8 years working as a Siebel Expert he helped insurance companies like Northwestern Mutual and Country benefit from Siebel CRM implementations, specializing in enterprise system design and system integration.
Shailendra strongly believes in making information tools less complex and easily accessible to businesses. In recent years he has dedicated his time to researching and developing speech recognition technology and pursuing the integration of this technology into mainstream applications. Omkar Systems was established for that sole purpose, and the company's brainchild, Speech Integrator, is seen as the first step to changing the way the human culture interacts with computers.
